I learned many of my best tricks from watching Grandma Millie work her oven while growing up in New Jersey, before spending several years out west in the San Francisco restaurant scene honing my craft. Now I live in the best small town around— Hillsborough, NC!
For the past few years I’ve led the desserts programs at multiple Churton Street dining establishments (including Wooden Nickel Pub, James Pharmacy, Bona Fide Sandwich Co., and LaPlace Louisiana Cookery), and run a catering/special order pastry company called You Knead This Pie. I might’ve baked your birthday cake or that pie you brought to your Thanksgiving dinner, and if I did I hope you enjoyed it!
I’m really passionate about food, and so far I haven’t met a meal that wasn’t improved by a little something sweet at the end. Or at the beginning or middle for that matter!
Soon I hope to have a bake shop open so you can come visit me, but in the meantime reach out anytime if I can ever supply a tasty confection at your next event, birthday, wedding, or party. Or maybe just because you need some cake…
